They say parenting is not for the faint of heart. However, exploring the possibility of a private school kindergarten should not send a parent reaching for the antacid. Reading this Washington Post article made me especially grateful for the laid-back culture we enjoy here in the Pacific Northwest.

While it is true that we often work with families who explore Charles Wright well in advance of kindergarten (or junior kindergarten, for that matter), the admissions process here is one that is appropriately kid-friendly and shouldn’t have parents drawing comparisons to the college admissions process. We very intentionally want our process to be one that is geared toward kids being successful rather than feeling like we’re asking them to run through a Marine Corps obstacle course.

Our Junior K and Kindergarten Info Night this evening will provide families with the opportunity to learn more about Charles Wright and to make some decisions about whether our school is the best fit for your family. No hard sell, no steeplechase to run, just good information from friendly teachers, parents, and staff excited to share CWA with your family. We hope you’ll join us!
